I’m Derek Ludwig , the photographer behind Expedition Images. Originally from Central Minnesota, but currently located in Southern Maine. The Outdoors have played a huge part in my upbringing, molding me into the person I am today. This influence is reflected throughout my work and is the main thread that ties it all it together.

Much of my work is captured spontaneously during my own travels as a way to document the Expedition from start to finish. I enjoy finding the art that lies within each moment and I strive to preserve those instances.
